Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of what stays on your device, what our hosting may process, and the choices you control.

Last updated: July 29, 2026

The short version: Check-in answers and activity progress stay in your browser. Milestone Pre-K has no accounts, ads, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, contact forms, or online payments. Please do not send us information that identifies a child.

1. Scope and who the Service is for

Milestone Pre-K is owned and operated by Samuel Salazar (“Milestone Pre-K,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use app.milestonepk.net and related Milestone Pre-K pages and features (the “Service”).

The Service is designed for parents, legal guardians, caregivers, and educators who are at least 18 years old. It is not intended to be used independently by children.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Adults should operate the Service and should not enter or send a child’s name, photograph, voice recording, contact information, school name, precise location, health record, or other identifying information.

2. Information handled by the Service

Information stored only in your browser

Readiness-check responses, activity progress, selected age band, and display preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This information is not sent to Milestone Pre-K, is not synchronized to an account, and is not available to us.

You may export this information to a file on your own device or clear it using the Service’s data controls or your browser settings. We cannot retrieve, restore, or remotely delete browser-only information.

Basic technical logs

Our hosting, network, and security providers may automatically process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the Service, such as an IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser or device type, referring page, and error or security-event information.

Information you send to us

The Service has no account registration or contact form. If you contact us by email, telephone, or mail, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your contact details and message. Please do not include information that identifies a child.

3. What we do not use

The Service does not include:

  • Advertising or behavioral advertising;
  • Third-party analytics or social-media tracking pixels;
  • User accounts or cloud profiles;
  • Online payments; or
  • Cloud storage of readiness answers or activity progress.

We do not sell personal information or disclose it for behavioral advertising.

4. How information may be used

We may use technical logs and direct communications to:

  • Deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the Service;
  • Detect abuse, fraud, or technical problems;
  • Respond to questions and support requests;
  • Improve content and usability; and
  • Comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.

5. When information may be disclosed

Information may be processed by hosting, network, and security providers that support operation of the Service. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate abuse, protect users or the public, or complete a business transfer such as a sale or reorganization.

6. Retention

Browser-only information remains on your device until you clear it, use the Service’s reset control, uninstall browser data, use private-browsing controls, or the browser removes it. An exported file remains under your control.

Direct communications and technical logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for support, operations, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Exact log-retention periods may depend on hosting and security-provider settings.

7. Children’s privacy

We do not request child profiles or child identifiers. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information directly to us, contact us promptly. If we learn that we received such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it and will not use it to recontact the child except when legally permitted or required for safety.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You can clear local app data through the Service or your browser. Because that data is never sent to us, we cannot access or modify it for you.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning personal information we hold, such as information contained in correspondence or identifiable technical records. To make a request, contact us below. We may need to verify your request, and some information may be exempt from a request or impossible to associate with a particular person.

Because we do not sell personal information or use it for behavioral advertising, there is no such processing to opt out of.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect exported files and clear local data before sharing, selling, or disposing of a device.

10. External links

The Service may link to third-party resources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those sites operate under their own privacy practices. A link does not mean that the third party sponsors or endorses Milestone Pre-K.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably appropriate.
